Scrutinise the activities, policies, and expenditure of the Ministry of Industries and its subordinate agencies; examine bills referred to it; review the performance and reform prospects of state-owned industrial enterprises under BCIC, BSEC, BSFIC, BSCIC, BTMC, and BJMC; oversee industrial policy implementation including the National Industrial Policy, SME credit (BSCIC), fertiliser production (BCIC), steel and engineering (BSEC), sugar mill reform (BSFIC), and public-sector textile and jute operations; and advise on industrialisation, employment generation, and SOE rationalisation.
