BDPolicyLab is a small, AI-augmented policy research lab focused on Bangladesh, founded by Shahida Pervin, PhD and Md Deluair Hossen, PhD. Analysis is produced by a two-person team working with AI tools, not a large editorial newsroom.
The public Q&A assistant on the /ask page is AI-generated. It answers only from published BDPolicyLab briefs and reports. It will decline questions not covered by those publications. Treat its answers as a starting point and verify against the cited brief before drawing conclusions.
All other content, including policy briefs, data narratives, sector reports, and charts, is human-reviewed before publishing. Data comes from institutional sources: World Bank, IMF, Bangladesh Bank, BBS, ILO, FAO, UN agencies, and satellite platforms.
Automated collectors pull data from institutional providers and satellite platforms into a versioned data house. Analyzer modules compute sector-specific metrics. Publication generators combine that real data with AI-written narrative to produce briefs and reports. Charts are built with Plotly directly from the source data. No figure is estimated: where a number is not in the source, it is shown as unavailable rather than inferred.
