Parliamentary oversight of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment and all bodies under it, including the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET), the Wage Earners Welfare Board (WEWB), Probashi Kallyan Bank, and diplomatic labour wings in 27 countries; scrutinising recruitment agency regulation, welfare fund disbursement, Saudi-Malaysia-Qatar-Oman-Japan labour market access, post-2024 deportation and abuse cases, remittance facilitation policy, and safe migration frameworks; examining ministry performance on the 180-day action plan and 10-million overseas employment target; summoning ministry officials and BMET leadership for questioning; and recommending policy changes to the House on pre-departure training standards and bilateral labour agreements.
