Scrutinise the activities, policies, expenditure, and legislation of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and its subordinate agencies (Department of Disaster Management, Department of Relief and Rehabilitation, Cyclone Preparedness Programme, Comprehensive Disaster Management Programme, Multipurpose Disaster Shelter Construction Programme, etc.); examine bills referred by the House; review relief procurement and distribution, shelter construction, early warning systems, and post-disaster rehabilitation; and report findings and recommendations to the Jatiya Sangsad.
