Examine bills and subordinate legislation referred to it; review the enforcement of laws relating to the Ministry of Defence; investigate and inquire into the activities and administration of the Ministry of Defence, its subordinate agencies (including the Directorate General of Defence Purchase and the three armed services under MoD administrative control), and related public enterprises; examine budget demands and supplementary demands for grants; and report findings to the House. The committee may also examine interlocutory matters referred by the Speaker or Jatiya Sangsad.
