Parliamentary Committee

Receives and examines every petition presented by a member or reported by the Secretary of the Jatiya Sangsad. The committee determines whether each petition complies with the Rules of Procedure; if it does, it may direct that the petition be circulated. It reports to the House on the specific complaints raised in the petitions referred to it and recommends concrete remedial measures. Ministers are excluded from membership by rule.
