৯। (১) ব্যুরোর দায়িত্ব ও কার্যাবলি হইবে নিম্নরূপ, যথা:- (ক) দেশের রপ্তানি উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে সরকারি এবং বেসরকারি উভয় খাতের জন্য কার্যকর ও পর্যাপ্ত অর্থনৈতিক ও সমন্বিত পরিকল্পনা এবং নীতি প্রণয়নে সরকারকে পরামর্শ প্রদান; (খ) দেশের সম্ভাবনাময় রপ্তানিযোগ্য পণ্যের অন্বেষণ, উহাদের সম্ভাবনা পরীক্ষণ এবং সকল রপ্তানি পণ্যের মান নিয়ন্ত্রণ নিশ্চিতকরণে সহায়তা প্রদান; এবং (গ) দেশের মধ্যে সরকারি এবং বেসরকারি সংস্থাসমূহ কর্তৃক রপ্তানির জন্য গৃহীত বিভিন্ন ধরনের প্রচেষ্টার সমন্বয় সাধন এবং এই ধরনের প্রতিষ্ঠান কর্তৃক বিদেশে রপ্তানি বাণিজ্যে অংশগ্রহণের সক্ষমতা অর্জন বা রপ্তানি বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে প্রয়োজনীয় পরামর্শ, তথ্য ও সহায়তা প্রদান। (২) উপ-ধারা (১) এর সামগ্রিকতাকে ক্ষুণ্ন না করিয়া, পরিচালনা পর্ষদ নিম্নবর্ণিত কার্যক্রম গ্রহণ করিতে পারিবে, যথা:- (ক) বাংলাদেশ হইতে অন্যান্য দেশে কাঁচামাল, আধা-প্রস্তুত এবং প্রস্তুতকৃত পণ্যের রপ্তানি সম্প্রসারণের লক্ষ্যে বাজার অন্বেষণ এবং পর্যবেক্ষণ; (খ) সরকারের পূর্বানুমোদনক্রমে, বিদেশে প্রদর্শনী বা বিক্রয়কন্দ্রে স্থাপন; (গ) রপ্তানি উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে, সরকারের পূর্বানুমোদনক্রমে, বাংলাদেশের অভ্যন্তরে বা বিদেশে সহায়ক সংস্থা স্থাপন; (ঘ) বিদেশে শিল্প, বাণিজ্য ও রপ্তানি মেলা বা প্রদর্শনীর আয়োজন এবং অংশগ্রহণের ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ; (ঙ) দেশের অভ্যন্তরে বাণিজ্য এবং রপ্তানি মেলা আয়োজন; (চ) বিদেশে দেশি পণ্যের প্রচারণার আয়োজন এবং তদলক্ষ্যে প্রয়োজনীয় কার্যক্রম গ্রহণ; (ছ) সরকার কর্তৃক ব্যুরোর উপর আরোপিত বা নির্দেশিত কার্যসম্পাদন;- (জ) প্রয়োজনীয় নীতি ও কর্মসূচি প্রণয়ন এবং প্রণীত নীতি ও কর্মসূচিসমূহ দক্ষতার সহিত ও সুবিধাজনকভাবে বাস্তবায়নে এক বা একাধিক কমিটি গঠন; (ঝ) প্রশিক্ষণ, শিক্ষা জরিপ, পরীক্ষণ বা কারিগরি গবেষণা; অথবা অন্য কোন সংস্থা কর্তৃক প্রদত্ত এই ধরনের শিক্ষা, জরিপ, পরীক্ষণ বা কারিগরি গবেষণার ব্যয় নির্বাহে সহায়তাকরণ; (ঞ) সেবা প্রদানের জন্য ফি বা চার্জ নির্ধারণ; এবং (ট) উপরি-উল্লিখিত কার্যাবলি সম্পাদনের জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় অন্যান্য আনুষঙ্গিক কার্য- সম্পাদন।
