Press coverage
Named in 34 articles since April 2015; number 91 among bodies in the last 12 months.
1 article from October 2025 to September 2026, against 6 in the 12 months before.
The total counts every outlet in the corpus. The 12-month comparison, shares and spikes use The Daily Star (business pages before 2026) and Prothom Alo English from 2018, so they measure attention within that corpus, not the whole press. Company press releases are left out throughout. A spike is a month at least three standard deviations above the body's previous 24 months. Bodies are matched by name or acronym in the headline and summary.

Press facts, checked against data
1 fact from the published daily advisor: 0 differ from the data, 0 agree, 1 have no series to check against.
The Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) is still expected to require approximately Tk 41,000 crore in annual subsidies following these adjustments.
The Business Standard, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), Dhaka Tribune, The Financial Express, The Daily Campus, Bangladesh Pratidin, bdnews24, 3 Jun 2026 · in the advisor of 3 Jun 2026
Claims as reported in the press and summarised in BDPolicyLab's daily Policy Advisor; not official statistics unless source_class is official. Data check: the press figure against the official series for the same quantity and period. Agrees within 2% of the official value; otherwise differs, gap = press minus official. No series: no reviewed rule places the claim on an official series, so no verdict is given.
BDPolicyLab's writing, keyed to this node
2 of the 118 published issues (21 May 2026 to 19 Sept 2026) name this body. Matched by the body's name (Bangladesh Power Development Board) printed in the issue.
The Daily Advisor is BPL's own AI-drafted policy writing, not evidence about this body.
Below: 6 BPL pages carry this body.
Dated facts: none held for this body. Only facts with a date printed in a primary document: the act date on bdlaws.minlaw.gov.bd, Bangladesh Gazette decisions published 2026-04-06 to 2026-09-17 (one parser's reading, not yet checked by a second), and, read by two readers, the amendment notes of Schedule I of the Rules of Business (revised up to February 2024) and the long title of the Act that establishes a body. Postings from Part II of the weekly Gazette 2015-2026 are one reader's reading (agy Gemini) checked by a code gate against the stored page; `readers` says whether a blind second reader agreed. No dated evidence is held for this body. State over time
