EC official romanisation is 'Cumilla-1'; 'Comilla-1' is the pre-2010 spelling still in common use -- both refer to the same seat. Boundary redrawn 2024: the EC gazette of 4 September 2024 placed Daudkandi and Meghna under Cumilla-1 and moved Titas and Homna to Cumilla-2. Six individuals filed a writ challenging this; the High Court on 8 January 2026 declared parts of the gazette without lawful authority.
