Dr. Mosleh Uddin Farid is the Member of Parliament for Jashore-2, representing Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
Winner vote count 1,80,965 vs. runner-up (BNP) Sabira Sultana 1,46,447; margin in raw votes = 34,518. Vote share percentages omitted: total valid votes not reported in primary sources (8 candidates contested; only top-2 vote counts confirmed from BSS). EC affidavit wealth/criminal data not publicly available in accessible sources; no criminal cases found in Wikipedia or news coverage. Nomination was initially challenged on two grounds: (1) a 30,000 taka credit card arrear from a company directorship ~25 years ago (EC hearing Jan 11-16 2026, resolved in his favor); (2) alleged dual citizenship (UK; he submitted proof of citizenship renunciation and was cleared).
