GIZ official page states it has worked in Bangladesh since 1972 on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the EU. Country director left null due to conflicting public reporting (Mark Gombert listed on the GIZ page, while a November 2025 news item names Juergen Schilling); not confirming to avoid a wrong fact. GIZ delivers technical cooperation, not concessional lending (that is KfW).
